ABOUT US

Aim Electrics work van

At AIM Electrics, our work is built on craftsmanship, mentorship and a deep respect for the marine industry.

Founded by Steve Ross over 35 years ago, the business began with a strong focus on quality marine electrical work. Over time, that foundation has grown into a comprehensive marine systems service — now encompassing electrical, plumbing, refrigeration and air conditioning solutions for commercial and private vessels across Victoria.

From complex restorations to modern system installations, our approach has always remained the same: deliver work that is safe, compliant and built to last.

Beyond technical skill, Steve has always believed in investing in people. Throughout his career, he has mentored and trained countless apprentices, passing on not only trade knowledge, but the values of integrity, accountability and pride in workmanship.

One of those apprentices was his son Jamerson Ross, who joined the business as a teenager and grew into a key partner. His dedication to the trade and commitment to excellence left a lasting impact on the business and those around him. In 2022, Jamerson’s life was tragically cut short in a hit-and-run accident — a loss deeply felt by family, friends and the wider marine community.

Today, Jamerson’s legacy continues through the apprentices he helped shape and the standards he upheld. Through one-on-one mentorship and hands-on training, we continue to develop the next generation of marine specialists — ensuring the same care, precision and professionalism remains at the core of everything we do.

At AIM Electrics, we are proud to carry forward a tradition built on skill, resilience and a genuine passion for marine work.

After suffering the loss of losing Jamerson, his mother Chantelle Ross began to realise that there was a dire absence of available resources to help and support people who are grieving.

Through Projex J, Chantelle and the committee aims to provide the grieving community a safe space to be in the company of those who understand one another; to replace isolation with connection. Projex J aims to provide care and support in every capacity we can for those struggling with any type of grief.

If you or anyone you know are suffering from grief, please reach out to Chantelle through their website below.
